Terms
Terms of Service
Last updated June 10, 2026. These terms describe how customers may use Moxie Docs for GitHub repository indexing, generated documentation, MCP context, Friday Recaps, and Cleanup PR automation.
Using Moxie Docs
- + Moxie Docs helps teams connect GitHub repositories, index code and documentation, generate searchable documentation, expose MCP-ready context, and prepare reviewable docs updates.
- + You are responsible for the repositories you connect, the users you invite, and the instructions or automation settings you approve.
- + You must have the rights and permissions needed to grant Moxie Docs access to repository content and related metadata.
Trials, plans, and billing
- + Workspaces may start with a 14-day trial unless a separate agreement says otherwise.
- + After the trial, continued use may require a paid plan through Stripe or an enterprise agreement.
- + Plan limits may control repository count, file capacity, indexing cadence, Friday Recaps, Cleanup PRs, and AI/MCP context usage.
- + You can contact contact@moxiedocs.com for billing, cancellation, procurement, and enterprise pilot questions.
Refunds and cancellation
- + Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, except where required by law or granted at our discretion.
- + You can cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the current paid period and you will not be billed again.
- + The 14-day trial lets you evaluate Moxie Docs before any charge applies.
- + Consumers in the EU/UK: by starting the paid service you agree to immediate provision and acknowledge that the statutory cooling-off cancellation period may no longer apply.
Repository access and automation
- + The GitHub App should be installed only on repositories you intend Moxie Docs to index.
- + Generated documentation, summaries, gap reports, and MCP context are machine-assisted outputs that should be reviewed before relying on them for critical work.
- + Cleanup PRs are intended to be scoped documentation updates. They should remain subject to human review and your repository's normal branch protection rules.
- + You can pause or disconnect automation when settings are available or by contacting support.
- + Moxie Docs may use third-party AI providers and infrastructure processors to generate docs, recaps, MCP context, and PR content for the connected workspace.
Customer data and ownership
- + You retain ownership of your repository content, existing docs, generated docs created for your workspace, notes, bookmarks, and other customer data.
- + You grant Moxie Docs permission to process customer data only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
- + Do not submit secrets, credentials, regulated data, or third-party confidential data unless you have permission and an agreement that covers that use.
- + Optional analytics are controlled by site privacy choices and described in the Privacy Policy.
AI processing and training
- + Moxie Docs uses third-party AI providers to index repositories and generate documentation, recaps, MCP context, and PR content for your workspace.
- + We do not use your private repository content to train third-party or foundation models, and we do not sell customer data.
- + Customer data is processed only to provide, secure, support, and operate the service for your workspace, and aggregated or de-identified data may be used to improve the service.
- + AI outputs can contain mistakes or omissions and should be reviewed by a person before you rely on them.
Subprocessors and data processing
- + Moxie Docs relies on infrastructure, hosting, AI, payment, and email subprocessors to deliver the service.
- + A current list of subprocessors is published on the subprocessors page, and a data processing addendum is available on request at contact@moxiedocs.com.
- + We require subprocessors to handle customer data under confidentiality and security obligations consistent with these terms.
Our intellectual property
- + Moxie Docs and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the service, software, models, and underlying technology, excluding your customer data.
- + We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription, subject to these terms.
- + If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them to improve the service without obligation to you.
Acceptable use
- + Do not use the service to access repositories without authorization, exfiltrate secrets, violate laws, attack systems, or create harmful automation.
- + Do not bypass plan limits, abuse indexing capacity, interfere with the service, or use generated outputs to misrepresent source code behavior.
- + We may suspend access to protect customers, the service, GitHub integrations, or infrastructure providers.
Reliability and changes
- + Early releases may change quickly as the product, infrastructure, security controls, and pricing mature.
- + We aim to provide useful, reliable documentation automation, but generated outputs and AI context may contain mistakes or omissions.
- + The service is provided without warranties except where a signed agreement provides different terms.
Limitation of liability
- + To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moxie Docs is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
- + Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- + Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
- + You agree to defend and indemnify Moxie Docs against claims arising from your customer data, the repositories you connect, your use of generated outputs, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
- + We will notify you of a covered claim and may participate in its defense with our own counsel.
Termination
- + You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time as described in Refunds and cancellation.
- + We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, violation of these terms, or to protect customers, the service, or our providers.
- + After termination you will have a limited window to export available customer data, after which we may delete it in the ordinary course, subject to legal retention requirements.
- + Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, liability, indemnification, and dispute terms, will continue to apply.
Governing law and disputes
- + These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING-LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- + The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [VENUE], except where applicable consumer law grants you other rights.
- + Before filing a formal claim, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes by contacting contact@moxiedocs.com.
Changes to these terms
- + We may update these terms as the product, pricing, security controls, and legal requirements evolve.
- + We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice through the service or by email.
- + Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
General
- + If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
- + These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed agreement, are the entire agreement between you and Moxie Docs regarding the service.
- + You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- + Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Contact
- + Questions about these terms, enterprise agreements, security, or data processing can be sent to contact@moxiedocs.com.
- + A signed customer agreement may override or supplement these online terms for that customer.
